I looked at 4 different websites before deciding to use Appsbar as suggested by Nails Magazine. They were all very straightforward to use and none of them required any HTML coding. The reason that I chose Appsbar was because you could make a page for clients to book an appointment.
You can choose to have the client book through your online booking site or through email. I don't use an online booking site so I used the email option. I really liked how you could format it for your needs. When the client fills out the request they add their name, phone number and date preferred. Then from a drop down menu they choose what service they need. Then in another drop down menu they choose either morning or afternoon time period.
Other icons that I created are "About" which explains my business. "Me" which tells a potential new client a little about myself. I also have a "Service Menu" which clients can look at a glance to see the services I offer or they can click the image for a better description of the service. By clicking on the "Specials" icon I can change current specials that are going on in the salon. I also have icons for "Contacts", "Social" and "Gallery". This is going to be an invaluable new way for me to get new clients and for current clients to book appointments with me.
After finishing my app, Appsbar helped me upload it to the Google Play Store with very detailed step-by-step instructions. You can find my app on the Google Play Store by searching for Nails By Vicki. You can also preview my app by clicking on the tab above named "My Mobile App".
Has anyone else made an app for their business? If so, post a link below so others can get so more ideas!
